Gas & Fees

Understanding the costs associated with NFT transactions on our marketplace.

Why Polygon?

We use the Polygon network for NFT transactions because of its extremely low gas fees (often less than $0.01), fast transaction times, and environmental sustainability. This makes NFT trading accessible to everyone.

Fee Structure

Gas Fees

Network transaction fees paid to Polygon validators. These vary based on network congestion.

Creator Royalties

Creator Royalties

Royalties are automatic payments made to the original creator of an NFT each time it is sold on the secondary market. This ensures creators continue to benefit from their work as it appreciates in value.

How It Works

When an NFT is sold, the royalty percentage is automatically deducted from the sale price and sent to the creator's wallet. This happens on-chain, ensuring transparent and trustless payments.

Royalty Rates

Collection creators set their royalty rate when deploying the collection (typically 2.5% - 10%). This rate applies to all secondary sales and cannot be changed after deployment.

Example: If an NFT sells for 100 POL with a 5% royalty, 5 POL goes to the creator, 2.5 POL (platform fee) goes to the marketplace, and 92.5 POL goes to the seller.

Saving on Fees

  • • Transaction fees on Polygon are already very low, typically under $0.01
  • • Gas prices fluctuate - check current rates before transacting
  • • Batch multiple operations when possible to minimize transactions
  • • Always keep a small amount of POL in your wallet for gas fees
